Compliance Manager, Life insurance

Our client is an international insurer with full range of life insurance products and has a strong history of success across Asia Pacific. They are currently looking to hire a dynamic individual with solid regulatory knowledge in insurance to join their Hong Kong Compliance team.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Identify regulatory compliance risk and potential impacts on the business.
  • Update and implement the internal policies for any necessary regulatory developments.
  • Manage the monitoring activities to assess the business compliance with rules, regulations and internal requirements.
  • Assist in handling regulatory & audit inquiries and compliance risk assessment activities.
  • Disseminate to relevant parties on regulatory updates and advise on changes and implications.
  • Assist to provide the necessary management reporting to Head Office on regulatory matters.
  • Provide feedback on regulatory advice to internal stakeholders for products, outsourcing initiatives, regulatory and reporting, etc.
  • Provide compliance trainings to different business units.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with at least total 7 years of both audit and regulatory compliance experience.
  • Ideally came from big 4 audit background and have moved into insurance firms.
  • Strong product knowledge of life insurance.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong partnerships with other business units and senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese.
