Our client is a fast-expanding Financial Institution with a solid focus in developing the Asia markets across traditional, online and innovative platforms and channels for the Insurance and Wealth Management businesses. As part of strategic growth, the group is seeking a high-calibre Risk Management professional to join the Regional Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Assist the Enterprise Risk Management Regional Head in developing and building out the Enterprise Risk Management framework for Asia.
  • Design, evaluate, develop and implement ERM policies, processes and procedures for the region as well as providing expertise on risk management advice.
  • Provide support on risk reporting, perform deep dive analysis and report on trends, impacts and risk issues.
  • Draft risk reports and presentation materials for regional risk committee and management meetings.
  • Work closely with the local business country teams and units on implementing and compliance with group standards, risk framework and regulatory requirements, running and facilitating risk management trainings when required.
  • Assist on ad-hoc request and regional projects from the enterprise risk management perspectives.
  • Promote risk awareness and best practices across the local and regional teams.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified ideally with relevant professional qualifications in risk management, audit, accountancy.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Risk Assurance, Risk Advisory and / or Internal Control gained from the Financial Services sector or Big 4 focusing on Financial Services.
  • Excellent writing skills with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience from Insurance sector is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
