Sr Manager / Associate Director, Program Management Office, Insurance

Our client is a well-established Life Insurance Group with an expanding presence in Asia. The Group has invested significantly in large scale business transformation activities with an extensive budget on their projects portfolio, and it is now seeking a high-calibre Program Management Professional to join the Business Transformation PMO function for the Hong Kong business.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Drive Program Management Office (PMO) practices and governance for the Transformation programs with key focuses on Customer Experience initiatives.
  • Manage projects portfolio, facilitate business case approvals, assist in program formulation and target operating model design.
  • Work with relevant functions and project teams on project planning, budget and resources.
  • Establish program governance framework, conduct regular status meetings, project tracking, risks and issues identification.
  • Assist in driving various transformation projects to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Arrange regular PMO committee meetings to discuss on project status, results and new initiatives.
  • Conduct quality assurance, manage project delivery results and completion.
  • Analyse customer feedback to develop improvement areas and future project cases.
  • Design and provide training on program management governance, reporting and methodologies to the project teams and wider business and support units.
  • Keep abreast on relevant and latest project management techniques, development tools and promote / share best practices across the firm.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified ideally with professional qualifications in project management.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Program Management, Management Consulting, Business Transformation, Project Planning, Project Management gained from Financial Institutions.
  • Insurance industry experience is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in Consulting firms focusing on Insurance sector would also be considered.
  • Good practical knowledge in various project management techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent communications skills with fluency in English AND Cantonese.
