Associate Director / Director, Corporate Development, M&A / Investment

Our client is an international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Strategy professional to join the team in Hong Kong, covering Asia on Corporate Development initiatives.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Support the group in the strategic development plans on assessing and executing corporate transactions including M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, JV.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying and sourcing potential investment / acquisition targets and partnership opportunities that align with the group’s strategic goals in the region.
  • Prepare and review relevant transaction documents.
  • Conduct business assessments of the target opportunities and research on the markets relevant to the opportunities, industry insights and competitive landscape, analyzing the impact on the business.
  • Perform analysis, financial modelling, valuations, project data gathering.
  • Develop presentations for management, support in strategic deliverables and timelines for Management Committees and the Board in the Asia region.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • An university degree preferably with an MBA degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of Investment Banking / M&A (must be focusing on FIG, ideally Insurance sector), Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development & Investments, Management Consulting.
  • Industry experience gained from Insurance, Banking, Wealth Management, Financial Services and / or Management Consultancies.
  • Exposure to Life Insurance would be advantageous.
  • Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and other presentation tools.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and preferably with fluency in Mandarin.
