AVP/VP, Sr Investment Analyst, Investment Management

Our client is a well-established International Financial Services Group. With increasing business activities and a solid growth plan in place for Hong Kong, the group is now seeking a high-calibre Investment Analyst to join the Fixed Income team of the Investment Management arm in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Report to the Head of Fixed Income and work with the investment team to provide investment and credit analysis support on the investment portfolio with key focuses on securitized products (CLO, ABS etc.).
  • Responsible for fundamental research, credit research, macro research and prepare detailed product analysis to seek risk rating, limit and transaction approval.
  • Provide the investment team on market views, periodic updates and understanding of securitized products, prepare investment proposals and make investment recommendations.
  • Ensuring credit risk management procedures in compliance to regulations and credit policies whilst capturing investment opportunities and avoiding volatility and drops in value.
  • Regularly monitor the fixed income debt securities rating movements to maintain investment mandate requirements.
  • Keep abreast of economic and market news and conditions, work with external analysts, credit rating agencies, issuers and relevant professionals for industry updates and information.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with qualifications in FRM, CFA and / or Accounting would be beneficial.
  • Min. 8 years of relevant experience in Investment Analysis, Credit Analysis, Credit Risk Rating, and / or Portfolio Management.
  • Must have previous experience in securitised products / structured products credit analysis.
  • Experience gained from Asset Management, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and / or Credit Rating Agencies.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and ideally with Cantonese or Mandarin.
