Our client is a reputable international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Digital Forensic Subject Matter Expert to join the Global Investigations team, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Reporting to the Global Leader and act as a Subject Matter Expert providing Digital Forensic Advisory to the various regions and country teams across a wide range of investigations related but not limited to financial crime, fraud, information security, legal and compliance, human resources etc.
  • Design, develop and be accountable for the Group’s digitally-focused investigations and eDiscovery strategy, processes and operating standards as well as to ensure the guidelines, regulatory requirements, local laws and best practices are complied with.
  • Provide technical advice, case development support, resource planning and coordination and conduct digital and eDiscovery related investigations particularly for complex or sensitive cases.
  • Build internal and external relationships with professionals from technical, risk management, business teams, financial crime software / solution vendors and facilitate the support needed from these groups when required for data collection and information gathering.
  • Be the owner of the Digital Forensic practice for the Group with administrative responsibilities across budget, MI reporting, written reports on findings, methods and techniques for management review as well as to provide timely updates on investigations progress.
  • Work with the wider business and country teams to provide relevant trainings related to Digital Forensic.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • A university degree.
  • Around 10-12 years relevant experience gained from Digital Forensic, Computer Forensic, eDiscovery, Information Security / Data Risk Management.
  • Regional or Global exposure gained from Financial Services, regulated industries, large MNCs or Forensic Practices within Big 4, Law Firms and / or Specialist Consulting Firms.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and frameworks applicable to digital forensics.
  • Expertise in Digital Forensic / eDiscovery methodologies, practices and investigation tools.
  • Proven experience in projects delivery and management.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in report writing and presentations.
  • Effective communicator with fluency in English.
