Our client is one of the Hong Kong conglomerates with a focus in the Consumer and Property sector. Having many years of history in the market with very diverse brands in their portfolio, they are currently looking for theDirector of Public Affairs & Corporate Communications at the group level.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Develop and lead strategic communicationswith a wide range of key stakeholders to enhance corporate reputation.
  • Lead the development of corporate communication messages to promote the Group’s business and transformation strategies, vision and thought leadership, and to ensure message alignment throughout the Group.
  • Closely monitor macro-economic and political and industry related policy development to provide strategic counselling to business leaders.
  • Formulate and lead the implementation of strategy and tactic plan to manage the different nature of crisis or issues related to the corporate reputation.
  • Build good relations with media and develop a proactive and engaging media outreach plan.
  • Leading a team of respond to requests from the media professionally and timely.
  • Oversee external corporate communication channels, content creation, collateral production, and event management to reflect the Group’s image in a professional and efficient manner.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in corporate communication, public relations, journalism or related disciplines.
  • Candidates must have Both Public Affairs & Corporate Communications experience.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, of which at least 5-6 years in senior managerial roles, and with proven track record in communication, public affairs, and issue management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with ability to confidently and credibility deal with senior executives and key external stakeholders.
  • Solid capability in understanding the dynamics of economic and political development as well as public sentiments, and with sensitivity to related impact and potential opportunities or risks related to the Group.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin).
