Our client is a well-established Conglomerate Group with diversify businesses largely focusing on the Retail Consumer Segment. As part of strategic growth and transformation, an exciting leadership role has arisen for an experienced Business & Operations Transformation / Change Professional to lead a team, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Reporting to the Head of Retail Business, manage a team of change / project managers responsible for busines planning, process implementation and optimisation and systems implementation related business projects.
  • Lead the end-to-end project management cycle from budgeting, roadmap, user requirements, new technology, development and testing, implementation and training, performance and vendor management.
  • Conduct retail operations reviews and drive operational excellence and productivity improvement initiatives supporting the business on strategic initiatives and efficiency improvement.
  • Utilise data analytics on process improvement designs and seek opportunities for changes, especially on customer experience, user experience and efficiency improvement.
  • Responsible for vendor management, service level improvement and manage the tendering process, price and contract negotiations.
  • Manage budget and cost control, come up with cost saving ideas and manage capital expenses.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology and business development, recommend new technological tools to the business and management for improving customer service and productivity.
  • As a team leader, provide coaching and take lead in people development.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified ideally with relevant professional qualifications in project management.
  • Minimum 10-15 years experience in Business Transformation, Business Process Re-engineering, Operational Efficiency, Business Optimization, Retail Operations Transformation, Customer Experience / Services Improvement.
  • Experience in Stores / Branches / Sites / Facilities operation planning / development would be advantageous.
  • Industry experience from Consumer / Retail segment, Mass-market, Customer-Service oriented environment. Such as: Telecom, Retail Banking, Insurance, Retail Banking, Hotels, Properties, Shopping Malls, Recreation / Entertainment, Retailers etc.
  • Experience in working with the Business on driving change and developing transformation programs.
  • Strong change-mindset, ability to keep abreast of consumer market trends and new technology development.
  • Proven people management / leadership skills gained from a sizeable organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Cantonese.
