Project Management Lead, Retail Wealth Management

Our client is an expanding Asian Financial Services Group with solid growth plans and strategy in place for its Digital Banking platform. As part of new business expansion, the Group is currently seeking an experienced Retail Wealth Management Projects Leader with an entrepreneurial mindset to be part of the new digital wealth management platform buildout in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Reporting to the Retail Wealth Management Business Head, lead, drive and deliver Digital Retail Wealth Management Projects.
  • Responsible for the whole project life cycle end-to-end from initiation, project planning, project governance, standards, resources, timeline and budget.
  • Involve in business-driven projects with key focuses on business and services launch, product development / launch projects, partnership initiatives, etc.
  • Define governance and process, gather business requirements, monitor and report project risks, ensure compliance and standards are aligned with regulatory and group requirements.
  • Coordinate and partner with the Business, Products, IT, Operations, Risk and Compliance, relevant projects stakeholders, ensuring issues are communicated, addressed and solved.
  • Provide projects oversight with regular projects status updates to the relevant parties involved.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • University degree ideally with project management certifications.
  • Minimum 12+ years experience with at least 8 years in a project management role gained from Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Fund Management and / or FinTech industries.
  • Strong Digital Banking or Wealth Management products and services knowledge particularly Retail Wealth, FX, Mutual Funds, Investment Products.
  • Experience in Product development / launch projects would be highly preferred.
  • Familiar with HKMA regulations.
  • Hands-on with ability to work in a fast-pace environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and MUST have Chinese language ability (either Cantonese or Mandarin).
