VP, Outsourcing Management

Our Client is an International Banking Group with an established and growing presence in Asia. The Bank mainly engages in Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking, Transaction Banking, Global Markets and Asset Management business activities in Asia. As part of strategic growth in Asia, the bank is seeking an experienced Outsourcing Management Professional supporting the Asia businesses on Third Party / Vendors / Intercompany Affiliates Outsourcing Management. The position can be based in Hong Kong or Singapore.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Lead the Asia Third Party & Outsourcing Program, implement best practice and framework, manage the governance framework.
  • The Program includes external and intercompany affiliates with the aim to assist the businesses and functions to identify appropriate services and set up requirements for contracting, reporting, risk assessment and documentation.
  • Maintain policies, procedures and guidelines to support the Program.
  • Provide operational risk oversight, perform risk assessment, due diligence and gap analysis, set and monitor KRIs.
  • Assist the businesses and functions on service arrangements and procedures, manage and monitor the service level agreements, activity levels / KPIs, service quality and reporting.
  • Produce timely management and committee reporting packs and management information on status updates, performance and effectiveness of outsourcing.
  • Be the regional liaison with head office and local countries as well as the contact point with internal and external parties for all outsourcing services related issues and agreement.
  • Provide Third Party subject matter expertise on change management, projects, legal entity changes, internal / external communications.
  • Lead training and awareness communications related to outsourcing to businesses and functions in the Asia region.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with min. 10+ years relevant experience in outsourcing strategy, outsourcing management, outsourcing processes and risk management.
  • Sector experience from financial services, professional services, MNCs.
  • Good knowledge of outsourcing operational risk management, framework and governance.
  • Strong understanding of the financial, regulatory and tax matters impacting outsourcing and service level agreements.
  • Ability to work effectively across the region and in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in change management and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
