Our client is a well-established International Banking Group with diversified businesses across Investment Banking, Private Banking and Asset Management in Asia. Due to increasing business activities and a solid growth plan in place for Asia, the Private Banking business is now seeking a high-calibre Credit Risk Analysis Professional to join the Credit Risk Management team.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Part of the Asia Credit Risk Management function with team supervisory responsibilities focusing on SE Asia across credit approval, credit analysis, credit decision, credit monitoring, exposure management and strategic projects.
  • Perform counterparty analysis and transaction structure of Lombard and Mortgage credit facilities.
  • Credit decision-making with delegated credit authority and present credit requests to management for approval.
  • Review and assess collaterals quality and suitability as well as performing facility reviews.
  • Perform exposure monitoring and update data / information on the risk system.
  • Keep abreast of market movement, analyze credit trends, monitor economic, political and regulatory development impacting credit risk assessment.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and portfolio impact analysis.
  • Work closely with the business and wider credit risk control and risk analytic functions on credit support, as well as to discuss the risk appetite, risk limits and rating rationale.
  • As a senior member of the team, provide coaching and development support to local and offshore credit analysis teams including new team build out / expansion.
  • Be a representative from the team to participate in wider transformation projects and initiatives.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified ideally with qualifications in FRM, CFA and / or CPA would be beneficial but not required.
  • Min. 8 years of relevant experience in Credit Approval with additional experience in Credit Analysis or Credit Risk Management gained from Private Banking / Wealth Management.
  • Knowledge of Lombard, Mortgage and Capital Markets products.
  • Solid financial analysis skills with good risk assessment / judgement skills as well as strong writing skills.
  • Understanding on credit risk frameworks and risk measures.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English.
