Head of eCommerce, Regional Financial Institution

Our Client is a Leading Regional Financial Services Group with diversified businesses across Wealth Management, Securities Brokerage and Global Markets activities. The group has an established and growing presence in Asia. As part of strategic growth in Hong Kong with significant investments from the Group head office, an outstanding leadership role has arisen for an experienced eCommerce professional to join the Hong Kong Management Team in building and expanding their digital sales channel in the region.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Report to the CEO, this is a key leadership role in the management team establishing and developing the digital sales channel across the region, initially focusing on the Retail segment with future plans to expand into other segment.
  • With P&L responsibilities, act as the eCommerce Subject Matter Expert, design, develop and execute the digital channel strategy in line with Group strategy and regional business strategy.
  • Work with the business, sales team, product team to design and create a feasible collaboration between traditional and digital sales channels.
  • Drive and lead digital sales & marketing initiatives, identify and assess the tools and resources required, measure ROI and success of projects.
  • Work closely with the business, Group eCommerce Leader and Digital Transformation team to drive the innovation, change management, digitalisation and digital adoption across the organization.
  • Liaise with Group head office on Hong Kong and regional digital initiatives, work with the business and sales teams to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, business solutions, customer experience, customer initiatives, sales, marketing as well as functional processes.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified.
  • Minimum 15 to 20 years relevant experience in eCommerce, Digital business strategy & development, Digital Channel development / management, Digital campaign designs / launches.
  • Experience gained from one or more of these businesses - Retail Banking, Digital Banking, Wealth Management / Private Banking, Asset Management, Securities Brokerage, Online businesses / Digital platform targeting mass market retail segment.
  • Experience in specialist consulting firms focusing on eCommerce, Digital Strategy / Transformation for the Financial Services sector would also be considered.
  • Experience in delivering Digital Strategic Initiatives, Sales / Customer Campaign and managing P&L.
  • Strong interests in new technologies and innovation.
  • People leadership, coaching and management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, additional ability in Cantonese / Mandarin would be beneficial but not a must.
