Recognised as one of the leading and innovative banking group in Asia, our client offers a full range of retail to corporate banking, investments and other financial products and services to its clients. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Treasury professional to join the Hong Kong Corporate Treasury function.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Senior member of the Corporate Treasury function, leading the capital planning and management, capital budgeting and forecasting for dividend and capital issuance.
  • Contribute in balance sheet management / efficiency, optimise capital structure, liquidity, NII, RWA reviews.
  • Review regulatory capital and leverage ratio returns, coordinate on capital reporting to regulators.
  • Lead stress testing such as recovery stress test, pillar 1 credit stress test, ICAAP.
  • Review Pillar 3 disclosures.
  • Lead capital related projects, regulatory-driven projects, system enhancement etc.
  • Liaise with head office on capital related matters, regulatory requirements and handle requests from internal teams, external regulators and auditors.
  • Implement capital management policies, ensure capital planning and management processes are in place.
  • As a senior member of the team, assist in other daily Treasury matters, operations and team supervision.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degreed qualified ideally with other professional qualifications such as CPA, Treasury Management Professional, FRM or CFA.
  • Min. 15 years of Corporate Treasury, Capital Management / Planning, Asset & Liability Management, Balance Sheet Management, Funding & Liquidity Management, Risk Management and / or Treasury Dealing room experience gained from the Banking sector.
  • Less experienced candidate would be considered at VP level.
  • Strong Financial Markets products knowledge.
  • Familiarity to HKMA rules and regulations.
  • Experience in leading projects would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin would be advantageous but not required.
