Our client is an expanding Insurance Group with an international and dynamic work environment. With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Finance Professional experienced in Financial Planning & Analysis to join the Group Regional team, covering Asia, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Report to the Group Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, work closely with Group, Regional and Country teams in providing financial analysis and insights to senior management for decision-making, business planning, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, management information reporting and business performance overview
  • Provide in-depth analysis on business drivers, operational information, competitor analysis, performance against targets and KPIs
  • Partner with the business on trends and performance analysis, highlight to the business and management on trends and patterns and suggest recommendations
  • Produce monthly/quarterly financial reports to the Board and Shareholders
  • Design data and MI dashboard, ensure effective system and tools capabilities for data analysis, formulate management reports and presentations to meet business and management needs
  • Accountable for the maintenance of data and MI system, automation processes, data visualization initiatives and improvement / change initiatives
  • Represent the team to work with various functions within Finance, Technology, Business lines and external vendors

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • An university degree
  • Minimum 12+ years relevant experience gained from Business Performance Analysis, Financial Planning & Analysis, MI Analysis and / or Actuarial functions
  • Experience from Insurance industry is highly preferred, candidates from other relevant Financial Services industries such as Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management would also be considered
  • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace team environment and adaptable to changes
  • Familiarity to financial systems such as Hyperion, TM1, Oracle, SAP is preferred
  • Knowledge of MI system, data analytics and data visualization tools would be advantageous
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills in English
  • Recent working experience in Asia is a MUST
