Our client is a Leading Global Financial Institution with Insurance and Asset Management businesses and a strong establishment in Asia. As part of continuous growth, the group is seeking a high-calibre Risk Management professional to join the Group Risk Reporting function, based in Hong Kong.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Be part of the Second Line of Defence at Group Head Office level with oversight of both financial and non-financial risk management from internal and external reporting perspectives.
- Provide risk reporting, analysis and commentaries to the group, committees, board and management team.
- Responsible for the design and production of financial and non-financial risk reporting and management information, take lead of the production and submission of the internal and external reporting packs.
- Take lead in compliance reporting, including conduct, financial crime, regulatory, fraud, resilience, security, business continuity, fraud, bribery and corruption.
- Support the production of public risk disclosures, investor relations materials, bi-annual reporting, company financial reports, disclosures for merger / demerger / IPO.
- Coordinate closely with all risk management functions on MI and data collection, best practices sharing, insights, communications, transparency, synergies on reporting.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory development on risk, accounting treatment and compliance matters.
- Act as key support to the Group CRO and Risk Committees on risk information, insights and recommendations.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree qualified ideally with relevant professional qualifications in risk management, audit, accountancy.
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in Financial Risk Management, Compliance, Risk Governance, Risk Reporting, Enterprise Risk Management.
- Industry experience in Financial Services at regional or group head office level.
- Experience from Risk Management Consultancy or Big 4 Risk Advisory focusing on Financial Services sector are also considered.
- Experience in Reporting writing, drafting Risk or Compliance related papers.
- Regional experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
