Our client is a Leading Global Financial Institution with Insurance, Pension, Wealth & Asset Management businesses and a strong establishment in Asia. As part of continuous growth, the group is seeking an all-rounded Risk Advisory professional to join the regional Strategic Risk Advisory, Research & Analysis Team, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

As a key member of a Project-focused function conducting Group and Regional Strategic Risk Advisory initiatives and support for the formulation of Group and Regional Risk Strategies.
Involved in a diverse range of key strategic risk projects including but not limited to enterprise risk, business risk, emerging risk topics, deep-dive thematic reviews, regulatory risks, market risk, mix of financial and non-financial risk topics.
Take a lead in strengthening the risk framework and strategy on the China business, oversight and reviews of key regulatory / compliance / risk challenges as well as new business initiatives in China.
Support the team leader in conducting risk topics research, reporting and presentations for the risk committee meetings.
Work closely with other financial and non-financial risk teams within the group.
Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory development on risk, compliance and governance.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

Degree qualified ideally in specializations such as accounting, risk management, actuarial or legal areas.
7 to 10 years relevant experience in Risk Advisory, Enterprise Risk Management and / or Risk Consulting gained from Insurance, Asset Management, Wealth Management and / or Retail Banking.
Must have China financial markets regulatory knowledge / exposure and / or China accounting standards.
Experience from Credit Rating Agencies (FI / NBFI team), Risk Management, Compliance Consultancy or Big 4 Risk Advisory focusing on Financial Services sector with China coverage are also considered.
Strategic mindset with research and analysis skills.
A mix of non-financial and financial risk knowledge would be ideal.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and ability to read and speak fluent Mandarin Chinese.
