Our client is an expanding Banking Group with solid business performances across its Retail Banking, Private Banking, Corporate & Institutional Banking businesses in Asia. As part of strategic growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Professional to join the Bank, based in Hong Kong.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Senior Lead role in Financial Planning & Analysis on bank-wide analytics, budgeting, forecasting and MI reporting.
- Take charge of the preparation of financial performance & analysis for senior management, board meetings, media briefing and bank results announcements.
- Create analytical tools and apply data visualization tools to track performance analysis, results, budgets and market analysis.
- Assist on expense analysis and cost management / control by tracking and monitoring bank-wide overall expenses and cost allocations.
- Provide advice and commentaries on the financial / performance analysis.
- Work with the regional team on country level MIS reporting and monthly financial submissions.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- University degree.
- Minimum 12-15 years relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, management accounting, expense management, business finance, technology and operations finance and / or business management.
- Relevant industry experience from Banking or Financial Services sector.
- Familiarity to data analytics tools and visualization tools would be highly advantageous.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Asia experience is a must.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English. Cantonese or Mandarin would be beneficial but not required.
