Recognised as one of the leading and well-established banking groups in Asia, our client offers a full range of retail to corporate banking products and services to its clients,. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance professional to build and lead a team focusing on Capital Planning and Management, Asset & Liability Management, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Reporting to the HK CFO, build and lead a team focusing on Capital Planning / Management, Asset & Liability Management.
  • Work on and monitor capital planning and forecasting process, related budgeting and forecasting for dividend and capital issuance.
  • Review regulatory capital and leverage ratio returns, coordinate on capital reporting to regulators.
  • Prepare relevant HKMA regulatory reports and be the key contact point with HKMA.
  • Lead stress testing such as recovery stress test, credit stress test, climate risk stress test, ICAAP.
  • Contribute to balance sheet management / efficiency, optimise capital structure, liquidity, NII, RWA reviews.
  • Update and implement capital management policies and regulatory changes.
  • Review of regulatory capital and leverage ratio returns and Pillar 3 disclosures.
  • Conduct impact analysis on new capital related initiatives and regulatory changes.
  • Liaise with management team on capital related matters, regulatory requirements and handle requests from internal teams, external regulators and auditors.
  • As a senior member of the team, assist in other daily Finance matters, operations and team supervision.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degreed qualified ideally with other professional qualifications such as CPA, FRM or CFA.
  • Min. 15 years experience in Capital Management / Planning, Asset & Liability Management, Balance Sheet Management, Regulatory Reporting, Treasury and / or Risk Management gained from the Banking sector.
  • Familiarity to HKMA rules and regulations.
  • Experience in leading projects would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English with ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin.
