Our client is an international boutique Financial Advisory & Consulting firm currently expanding the Hong Kong and Asia Practices. With unique services and solutions in the Advisory & Consulting specialization for Financial Services sector, the firm is looking for a high-calibre management consultant to expand the practice in Hong Kong primarily focusing emerging topics consulting and advisory projects across modelling, strategies, transformation and transactions.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Reporting to the Practice Head in Hong Kong, deliver and drive service and solution offering across modelling, strategies, transformation and transactions to the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sectors.
  • Lead and execute advisory and consulting projects across Digitalisation, Technology Adoption, Data Science / Analytics, Financial Risk, ESG and Sustainability.
  • Perform risk modelling, risk data analysis and computation, risk assessment and regulatory impact analysis.
  • Actively take part in business development and networking activities within the Financial Services space.
  • Assist the wider Financial Services global team and participate on engagements within Hong Kong and / or other parts of the business / geographical locations when required.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • A university degree ideally in STEM topics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Quantitative Risk and / or Actuarial disciplines.
  • Around 5 years (Manager grade) or 3 years (Associate grade) of management consulting and advisory experience gained from Big 4, specialist consulting firms, management consulting firms and / or Financial Institutions.
  • Some programming skills in VBA, Python, R or SAS.
  • Risk modelling applicable to the Financial Services sector would be advantageous.
  • Ability to interact with clients directly and execute engagements independently.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and excited to work in a start-up / build-out environment.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and Cantonese.
