Our client is an international Asset Management firm with increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place in Asia. The Group is now seeking a high-calibre Corporate / Business Strategy / Strategy Consulting professional to lead the regional team in Hong Kong, covering the Asia region.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Lead a regional team of Strategy professionals in developing corporate strategies and development plans (mainly organic) at regional, country and business level across in Asset & Wealth Management.
- Lead strategy formulation and initiatives related to growth strategies, new markets entry, distribution strategy, new customer segment development, partnerships, new and existing products development and entries.
- Take a proactive role in identifying and assessing growth opportunities, new customer segment or product segment with the group’s strategic goals in the various markets.
- Evaluate industry trends, conduct research on the market, industry insights and competitive landscape, analyzing the impact on the business.
- Recommend and build business case on strategic initiatives and articulate ideas into execution priorities and action plans.
- Lead commercial due diligence for JV, partnerships and M&A transactions.
- Provide support on the delivery and implementation of projects and initiatives identified by the senior leadership team and business leaders.
- Develop presentations for management, support in strategic planning deliverables and timelines for Management Committees and the Board at Group level.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- A university degree preferably with an MBA or Master degree.
- Around 12-15 years experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Strategy, Strategy Consulting gained from Asset Management, Investment Management, Wealth Management and / or Private Banking.
- MUST have experience from top Strategy Consulting firms (MBBs or equivalent preferred) specialising in Asset Management or Wealth Management.
- Asia markets experience is a MUST.
- A track record in building, leading and delivering strategic initiatives and ability to lead and run multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English.
