Associate Director / Director, Distribution Transformation, Insurance

Distribution Focus (predominately in Agency Channel)

Our client is a leading international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance, Pension, Wealth Management and Asset Management. With an expanding presence in Asia and strong growth in business activities, the company is now seeking a high-calibre Transformation Lead to join the Group Transformation CoE function in Hong Kong, predominately covering the Asia Distribution transformation initiatives and projects with particular focus on Agency Distribution.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

Part of the Regional Business Transformation CoE function supporting business and firm-wide transformations initiatives.
Strong focus on Distribution Transformation initiatives and projects, particularly on Agency Distribution.
Engage with local markets and business units on ideas generation, identify systemic impediments and innovation opportunities.
Deep-dive on business process analysis, financial analysis and performance analysis to identify areas of improvement and transformation opportunities.
Design project structures, set up approach, project teams, identify resources and priorities to enable the local markets or business units to deliver and execute the transformation initiatives.
Provide oversight on a portfolio of key transformation initiatives across one or more business pillars from initiation and pre-execution stage, establishing the project team, resource identification, coaching project teams from planning to kick-start the project implementation & delivery.
Liaise with business units and local country project teams on project status, ensuring adherence on execution and governance framework.
Monitor project financials and programs progress, alert of issues identified and facilitate mitigation solutions.
Recommend transformation and change initiatives, forecast upcoming demands, provide project financial analysis and planning, transfer ideas between countries / markets, articulate ideas into execution priorities and action plans.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

A university degree, ideally with project management certification.
Minimum 12 – 15 years of relevant experience in Distribution Transformation, Agency Transformation, Agency Strategy, Business Transformation, Project Management and / or PMO.
Industries experience from sizeable international Insurance firms would be preferred, other industries such as Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Private Banking and / or Asset Managementfocusing on Sales & Distribution initiatives would also be considered.
Experience in driving, program managing and executing large-scale cross-functional and cross-locations transformation and change management programs with ability to run multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Flexibility to travel occasionally.
Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
