Our client is a leading asset manager with a broad range of asset classes. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced compliance professional to join the team based in Sydney.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Advise the business on compliance matters in accordance with local regulations and group policies.
  • Support the implementation of the operational risk management framework.
  • Monitor and implement changes to regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Provide oversight on licensing matters and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and conduct training on regulations and compliance policies.
  • Support marketing and distribution activity including review of marketing materials.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including regulators, consultants, clients, and auditors.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with experience gained in a leading asset management firm.
  • Confidence in communicating the firm’s risk and compliance framework with regulators.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be able to build positive and stable relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Logical thinker and able to provide strategic input when required.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Sound verbal and written communication.
