Vice President, Financial Crime Transformation

Recognised as one of the Asia’s leading financial institutions, our client offers a full range of investment and other financial products and services to its clients. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced AML Compliance professional to join its APAC Transformation team. The role is based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Plan and execute the various transformation roadmaps according to the timelines.
  • Formulate methodology / approach and propose solutions to achieve deliverables required by the various transformation programs.
  • Liaise with global teams to ensure consistency with planning and execution approach.
  • Coordinate, provide guidance and advice to the regional Compliance/FCC teams in Asia to ensure proper and timely execution of various transformation roadmaps.
  • Work with Project Managers to produce dashboards, management reports, meeting materials for various management meetings.
  • Work with the FCC teams in Asia and/or other relevant stakeholders to allow smooth transition of actions from transformation mode to production mode.
  • Keep up of financial crime related regulatory trends, market practices and standards.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with at least 10 years of FCC/AML experience with one of the leading Investment Banks.
  • Experience as a Compliance subject matter expert in regional/global projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FCC regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong and APAC region.
  • Strong working knowledge of global regulatory and financial services legislation as it pertains to AML, KYC and Sanctions & Embargoes.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Agility and flexibility to cope with competing priorities, time pressure and changes.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese.
