Our client is a well-established Conglomerate Group with diversify businesses largely focusing on the Consumer Segment with significant investments in technology across both online and traditional businesses. As part of strategic growth and transformation, an exciting leadership role has arisen for an experienced Business & Operations Transformation & Model Design Professional to lead a team, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Reporting to the CEO Program Management Office, you will lead a team of process change professionals responsible for creating, designing and reviewing new and existing operating models and processes for business activities as well as corporate functions.
  • In charge of designing methodological frameworks and operating processes that encompass innovations in process, technology, statical and decision science.
  • Provide oversight on large scale corporate-wide transformation models, detailed mapping of key functions and ongoing fine-tuning of existing models.
  • Assist the business and corporate functions in implementing operational transformation and relevant technology solutions.
  • Utilise data analytics and modelling capability on process improvement designs, scenario simulation, ensuring recommendations and proposals are supported statistically.
  • Provide program management oversight with regular project updates, reporting and tracking.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology and business development, recommend new technological tools to the business and management.
  • As a team leader, provide coaching and take lead in people development.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified with a MBA from a renowned university.
  • Minimum 15 - 20 years experience in Operation Process Design, Target Operating Model Design, Business & Operations Transformation, Process Re-engineering, Operational Efficiency, Business Optimization, Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
  • Ideally with a combination of experience gained from Management Consulting firms that specialise in Process Design / Transformation and Implementation PLUS Corporate Commercial Experience.
  • Industry experience from MNCs, large Local Conglomerates and / or Industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity in process improvement methodologies.
  • Track record in creating and developing processes from scratch, managing complex and sizeable programs, cross-functional programs.
  • Strong change-mindset, ability to keep abreast of new technology development, process modelling and analysis tools.
  • Proven people management / leadership skills gained from a sizeable organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English AND Chinese (either Cantonese or Mandarin language).
  • Flexibility for regular travel to China.
