Senior Manager, Finance Transformation

Our client is a fast-expanding Financial Institution with a solid focus in developing the Asia markets across traditional, online and innovative platforms and channels for the Insurance and Wealth Management businesses. As part of strategic growth, the group is seeking a high-calibre Finance Change Management Professional to be part of the Group Finance Transformation Program, based in Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Lead finance change workstreams and project implementation with key focuses on financial closing and reporting processes.
  • Act as a program manager, providing program management oversight on budget, costing, agenda set up, testing / test strategy, process, transition, delivery, facilitation on workstream meetings, vendor and resource management, SOW and RFP process management.
  • Provide program updates, identify problem areas, manage risks and issues, prioritize project deliverables and workstreams activities.
  • Provide clarity and coordinate with internal and external project team members, managing internal and external project resources and manpower.
  • Keep track of and drive the team to meet implementation timelines and project delivery deadlines.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified ideally with finance, accounting and / or technology related subjects.
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience in Finance transformation & change, Finance projects management / execution, Finance system implementation or process change.
  • Experience gained from Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Big 4 and / or consulting firms focusing on Financial Services sectors.
  • Good knowledge of financial closing and reporting processes.
  • Experience in finance systems implementationssuch as general ledger, sub-ledger, consolidation, reconciliation and reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of accounting policy changes, IFRS 9 and 17 would be beneficial.
  • Proven experience in project management, project lead, team management.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
