Our client is a well-established Conglomerate Group with diversify businesses.As part of strategic growth and transformation, an exciting leadership role has arisen for an experienced Risk Management professional to Head the Group Risk Management function.The role is open to overseas applicants and the company offers relocation assistance for moving to Hong Kong.

The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Lead a team of Risk Management professionals responsible for the Group’s 2LOD including Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, Insurance Management, Project Risk Management and Statistical Risk Modelling.
  • Establish, define and implement the Enterprise Risk Management framework, conduct risk assessment and analysis across the group for the business lines and strategic projects.
  • Design and deliver risk assessment controls and processes for managing risks at individual project level, provide recommendation for risk mitigations.
  • Refine and implement a robust business continuity plan into the business lines and critical functions, supporting the first line to understand the risk impacts to their daily operations, managing operational risks effectively.
  • Introduce, develop and implement statistical risk management models and framework to the group.
  • Lead a team of data analysts and business analysts to design and implement enhancements to the group risk management system, assist the first line to embed the system into their operations.
  • Keep abreast of the development in risk management techniques, methodologies and tools and contribute to the team’s knowledge-building on new learnings and review / update policies and guidelines.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team, build a strong risk management culture across the group.

Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified ideally with relevant professional qualifications, e.g. CPA, CA, CISA, PMP.
  • Around 15 - 20 years experience in Risk Management gained from Big 4 and / or commercial industries in Real Estate, Property Developer, Infrastructure, Construction, Hotel Groups, Utilities, Engineering, MNC / Conglomerates, Financial Institutions.
  • Experience in assessing, building and heading a ERM function ideally.
  • Experience in statistical risk management models, framework, predictive risk modelling.
  • Experience in Project Risk and Control in large scale projects would be preferred.
  • Proven people management / leadership skills gained from a sizeable organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
